Leave the bird garden and continue past
the wilder edge of the garden with its fine oak, its rich boundary
hedgerow, and its small chalk bank of wildflowers. You will arrive
at our White Garden - or 'white wilderness' as it is intentionally
destined to become. This garden encompasses all seasons and aspects
of wildlife gardening and especially reflects our passion for grasses
and wildflowers. We use a combination of white-flowered, wildlife
friendly, nectar, fruit, berry and seed bearing garden plants and
wildflowers. Together they create a planting style that mimics and
merges with the woodland, hedgerow and grassland habitat of the countryside
and with our own meadows. The garden thereby echoes the beauty of
the bucolic landscape which surrounds us and draws wildlife to our
little haven. |
